THe mission of ESTAMOS is, therefore, related to the values it believes in and uses in everyday life. THese values are:

• Autonomy: ESTAMOS is ruled by its mission, its ethical values and principles and is not bound by any political, ideological, moral or religious dogma.

• Solidarity: ESTAMOS is _________ with its stackholders and the society in general and with the those most neglected, excluded, socially vulnerable and subject to injustice. Tt acknowledges the interdependence among individuals, families and social groups as the cornerstome of a pacific and productive interaction. Solidarity is paramount in the social work it carries out with the communities. ESTAMOS and its collaborators are ___________ to one another but also to their partners and to the communities. Solidarity is not dependence of some to others, but is the sharing of responsibilities, of resources, of abilities and knowledge for the achievement of a common goal.

• Social Justice: ESTAMOS denounces any form of marginalisation, exploitation, exclusion, abuse or stigamitisation aimed at individuals or social groups. It believes that an equitative distribution of public goods and means necessary for the exercise of fundamental rights takes human dignity into consideration and is a precondition for establishment of peace. Each and every ESTAMOS member or collaborator, each and every partner, each and every community or community member has, according to his/her abilities and capabilities, something to give but also has his/her needs. One must strive to promote a balance between what each one can give according to his/her abilities and his/her needs without bringing a feeling of loss, exploitation or usurpation of rights by any of the parties. Social justice is not somethig established only in laws but is an intrisic value each individual or organisation has and that should be shared with others. It is the establishment of balanced social relations between persons of different genders, cultures, ethnic origins, religions, economic and social background, etc. but that are united by their condition as human beings.

• Co-operation: ESTAMOS believes also that work and activities for a common objective demand a widespread participation. The abundance of ideas, perceptions, knowledge and experience contributes towards a better final result and the ghowth of all. Each ESTAMOS member and collaborator has work as his/her main banner and should pass it on to the communities and to the partners. The intended results can only be achieved with a lot of co-operative work and dedication. Otherwise the resources, solidarity and social justice will not generate by themselves the intended results.

• Honesty and transparence: All ESTAMOS business and professional deals are or may be of public knowledge. The main informations on its activities are regularly circulated to all interested parties and are available in ESTAMOS'main offices. All its obligations, salaries and benefits paids are established in contracts.

• Integrity: ESTAMOS always acts in a lawful manner. It works in an honest, objective and open manner with its members and collaborators. It operates in accordance with established norms and rules and respects existing regulations.

• Leadership: ESTAMOS is aware of the leadership it has in the ambit of the activities it develops. Its social intervention concepts, principles and guidelines are accepted by many Governmental, non-Governmental and private organisations. It accepts its position as a leader with responsibility and consequently strives to sharpen its strategies and tools in order to bring more and better results and incease the social impact of its actions.
